Welcome to Pupil Support
Welcome to Pupil Support
When pupils enrol at the Royal High School they are allocated into a Nation (led by a Depute Head Teacher and Pupil Support Leader) and a Form class.
There are 6 Nations – Angles, Brits, Celts, Gaels, Picts and Scots.

The Royal High School operates a vertical pastoral system which means that, where possible, siblings from the same family are allocated to the same Nation, Pupil Support Leader and often the same Form teacher for the duration of their time at the Royal High School. The Pupil Support Leader should always really be the first point of contact for our Parents/Carers.
As pupils progress through the school, Pupil Support Leaders and the Nation team will provide different forms of support and advice – Personal, social, academic, and vocational. Our Nation system has been set up to ensure that each pupil is known as an individual, has their needs uniquely met and so that they all feel valued.
Pupils are encouraged to approach their Pupil Support Leader as soon as possible if they are experiencing any difficulty, no matter how trivial. Pupils Support Leaders also welcome early contact from our parents/carers concerning any problems facing a young person.
It is important that our parents/carers please keep us informed of any changes in circumstances or personal details.
